After several closures the exasperated Marsh Baldon residents dug deep into their pockets and bought the historic 350-year-old pub on the pretty village green. Today the Seven Stars has a smart interior, local ales on tap and a modern pub menu offering a good range of dishes prepared from fresh local ingredients. Typical dishes include risottos, sausages and mash, classic Sunday roasts, and specials like fish pie and sticky toffee pudding. For summer, there’s a gorgeous garden and a beer festival. The area has several interesting walks and Oxford Arboretum is a five-minute walk away.
