Brimming with character and charm

Full of charm and character, the 15th-century Prince Rupert is one of Newark’s most historic pubs. Expect old beams, wood floors, crackling log fires and cosy corners in the series of small downstairs rooms; make sure you explore upstairs, as the ancient architectural features are stunning. To drink, Oakham Ales JHB and Brains The Rev. James take pride of place alongside constantly changing choices while menus take in pub classics such as game and ale casserole, and excellent stone-baked pizzas. There are regular live music events and beer and cider festivals in the summer months.
