Open fires, cosy alcoves, beamed ceilings and candles in the evenings – in a nutshell, that's the Cross Keys. Co-owner Steve Hussey, with partner Alison Ryan, is also head brewer/owner at nearby Maythorne's Mallard microbrewery, which supplies the real ales, with Somerset's Broadoak providing cider and perry.
