The Greenwell family took over this 18th-century village pub near Hadrian's Wall a few years ago, and it’s very much a family business with David and Elwyn helped by their son and two daughters. Visitors can enjoy the open-hearth fire, the sunny beer garden, or simply sit out front soaking up life in this peaceful village. Among the choice of ales, local Wylam Gold Tankard is always served, with guest beers every week. Sunday lunch is available, along with theme nights, including quiz night on the last Wednesday of the month and there’s a popular key draw and supper every Sunday night.
