Relaxed and friendly village pub close to Silverstone

At a glance

Bar menu
Open all year

This Charles Wells pub, now under new management, has a well furnished beer garden to the front, and an interior gleaming with scrubbed and polished wood, mismatched chairs and well-worn floorboards. Customer service is as before, friendly and welcoming, and the relaxed atmosphere also remains unchanged. Ales from the Charlie Wells stable are as dependable as ever, and new menus follow traditional lines. Lunchtime sandwiches served with chips, soup or salad augment a short list of favourites: a starter of baked garlic mushrooms could be followed by liver, bacon and mash, then rounded off with a fruit crumble.
