It boasts a traditional tap room, a bar serving York Guzzler ale, and three separate dining areas. Menus are based on carefully sourced local produce, so expect top quality steaks and the likes of confit pork terrine; peppered-cured venison, pickled cucumber and horseradish; a seafood platter; moules marinière; and roast rump of lamb, aubergine purée, sweet potato fondants, home-dried cherry tomatoes, buttered kale and red wine jus.
