In the sleepy village of Snape, this family-run 18th-century pub is a good starting point for walking and cycling, and visiting local stately homes, castles and film locations. The homely interior has exposed beams, flagstoned floors and real fires in the bar, which is home to real ales from the Marston's Brewery. A meal in the restaurant selected from the ever-changing menu might feature a pub classic or something more contemporary. Afterwards, there is a range of home-made desserts and liqueur coffees to tempt you.
