The Carpenters Arms

Unpretentious village pub with lovely views

At a glance

Bar menu
Open all year

Felixkirk, in the Vale of Mowbray, has no shops, making this Provenance Inns owned pub the village's only retail establishment. To the east are the Hambleton Hills and the North Yorks Moors National Park, while west are the Yorkshire Dales. Bare stonework, slate flooring and rich red walls characterise the interior, and there are open fires in the dining areas and the bar. The restaurant and tiered terrace offer the best views. Menu descriptions are simple: pan-seared salmon fillet; braised pork cheeks; gourmet burgers; steak ciabattas; herb crusted haddock; devilled chicken livers; and fish and chips.
