The Horseshoe is an 18th-century country house set in beautiful grounds by the River Esk, handy for visiting Whitby, Robin Hood’s Bay, the North Yorkshire Moors Railway and TV’s Heartbeat country. Inside the welcoming bar are oak settles and tables, local artists' paintings, and plates around the picture rails. Along with some great beers, such as the pub's own Horseshoe Blond ale, local ingredients are used to create the varied menu, try steak and ale pie or Barnsley lamp chop and minted gravy.
