Old beams and warming fires in traditional inn

At a glance

Bar menu
Open all year

Close to the famous village of Grassington at the gateway to the Dales, and famed for its association with the Rhylstone Ladies WI calendar. This convivial and lovingly renovated 17th-century inn is favoured by Three Peaks ramblers who enjoy a rotating selection of real ales; the drinks list also offers a generous choice of wines sold by the glass, and an eclectic collection of rare bottled refreshments. The inn’s menu feature pub classics so perhaps after a field mushroom fricassée, Mr Jackson’s pork bangers with creamy mash and onion gravy will go down well; or try succulent short-rib of beef and Burgundy stew with horseradish dumplings.
