Close to the North Norfolk coast, The Duck Inn is run by Ben and Sarah Handley, who have established it as a pub that showcases the region’s produce, down to the Elgood's Cambridge Bitter and Aspall cider. Local references are stamped all over the menu, whether it’s Thornham oysters, Brancaster mussels or Lakenham Creamery ice creams. Start with sautéed duck hearts, chicken liver parfait, brioche and pickled cherries before moving on to pan-seared ox liver, smoked mash, pancetta, onions and beef jus. Leave room for the treacle and walnut tart with coconut ice cream.
