Steve and Bev Kembery have transformed their 16th-century pub by the green into a cracking community pub, drawing locals in for top-notch ale and food, organising the village fête, hosting three beer festivals a year, and offering a weekly busker’s night and regular theme nights. As well as a decent pint of Adnams, you can just opt for nachos with spicy tomato salsa and melted cheese; or ‘a very Norfolk platter’ charcuterie board. If you want something more substantial, try one of their sandwiches – jerk chicken with lime and chilli mayo; home-made beef lasagne; pie of the week; Thai vegetable curry; or Filipino pork tagolog.
