Beer festival

Situated on the Scottish Riviera, officially recorded as one of the sunniest and driest places in the UK, this former watermill has acquired windows, panelling and a beautiful door from a demolished stately home across the Moray Firth. There’s a wide choice of food, from Stornoway black pudding and pulled pork fritters with Shropshire blue and picalilli; and Cullen skink to braised rib of Black Isle beef with treacle and bacon mushrooms, vichy carrots and buttered cream potatoes. There’s an ever-changing selection of Scottish real ales at the bar; over 30, all through hand pumps, can be tried during the June beer festival.
