Pint of beer on a bar

The Salusbury Pub and Dining Room

A stone’s throw from Queen’s Park tube, this pub serves the local community well, admitting dogs and children and serving kiddy-sized portions from the uncomplicated menu. Small plates come cold (Dorset crab, quail’s egg and watercress) or hot (devilled lamb's kidneys on toast), while main dishes are robust and classically British: grilled Barnsley chop with grain mustard mash and broccoli; or Guinness-braised ox cheek with pearl barley. Desserts may feature Bramley apple and quince crumble with clotted cream. Along with the food, Greene King ales, Aspall cider and a good range of wines can all be served on the outside patio.
