The village of Corby Glen is a lovely setting for this cosy, welcoming pub, which has alfresco dining for the summer and roaring fires in the winter. In the bright and airy restaurant, you could enjoy Italian meatballs, tomato and basil sauce, or chilli king prawns with garlic and lime butter; then take in toad-in-the-hole with mash and onion rings; fillet of trout, crushed new potatoes, baby leeks and white wine velouté; or duck breast, blackberry sauce and sweet potato rösti. Finish with the Woodhouse cheese plate, or the chocolate brioche bread and butter pudding with custard
