Just off the main Garstang to Blackpool road, this two-storey pub-restaurant belongs to the Seafood Pub Company. It was set up by Joycelyn Neve who decided to capitalise on her family's long-standing involvement with deep-sea fishing. Naturally, there's plenty of fish and seafood on the menu, from spicy crab bisque with rarebit on toast as a starter to haddock and prawn fish pie. Other options might be Korean fried chicken with lime, ginger and chilli; and pot pie of Goosnargh chicken, ham hock and leeks with green beans and ‘proper’ chips. Under the ‘Sweet Tooth’ heading, try the warm peanut butter doughnut with maple syrup and raspberries.
