Popular pub with famous connections

Bar menu
Open all year

Once a haunt for stars such as Richard Burton and Elizabeth Taylor, The Chaser Inn is an informal, relaxed village inn, next to the church and overlooking the common. Well-kept real ales are complemented by an extensive menu of sandwiches, light bites and main courses such as honey mustard ham with free-range eggs and chunky chips; seafood stew; or chicken and leek pie with creamy mash. There is a lovely beer garden and the covered courtyard comes into its own in the winter months. The pub takes its name from its long association with the nearby Fairlawne racing stables.
