Bar menu
Open all year

Built in 1674, this part-timbered former coaching inn stands high on the Greensand Ridge, with wonderful views and sunsets over the Weald. The award-winning garden includes two oak gazebos and a large decked area for alfresco bistro dining and afternoon tea. Inside there is an imposing inglenook fireplace, lots of beams and a bar serving Shepherd Neame ales. The wide-ranging menu offers hearty sandwiches and pub classics – lasagne; lamb’s liver and bacon; and home-made pie of the week – perfect sustenance for walkers tackling the Greensand Way. The inn offers seasonal menus, daily delivered seafood, and home-made desserts.
