Set in bucolic Herefordshire countryside richly endowed with orchards and hopyards, The Oak enjoys an enviable location close to the lovely old market town of Ledbury. Ramblers can enjoy a walk along the former Herefordshire and Gloucestershire Canal before retiring to the lovingly extended cottage-style pub, complete with log-burning stoves and flagstone floors. Beers from Ledbury and Wye Valley breweries adorn the bar, whilst local cider adds interest. Dishes from the starter menu include Warm Hereford Hop cheese and onion tart with a spiced apple chutney, followed perhaps with a main of Herefordshire steak and kidney pie with a rich local ale gravy and horseradish short-crust pastry.
