Traditional village inn just inside the South Downs National Park

At a glance

Bar menu
Beer festival
Microbrewed ales
Open all year
Dog friendly

It might look old, but the flint-faced Rising Sun was actually built in the 21st century. There’s a choice of real ales and ciders, as well as a good selection of single malt whiskies, while the menu focuses on pub favourites – beer-battered cod; pan-fried lamb’s liver, bacon and onion gravy; and ham, egg and chips. Tuesday night is steak night, curries are on Thursday and it’s Friday for music.
