Traditional pub with large garden in thatched village

At a glance

Bar menu

Highly experienced landlords successfully maintain ‘the real village pub feel’ here, while also attracting customers from well beyond the parish boundary. The only pub in the country with this name, incidentally, it comprises a beamed central bar, a pool room and a restaurant, although the convivial bar has tables too. Interesting guest beers change frequently. In addition to sandwiches, jackets, salads and ploughman’s expect home-cooked dishes like sausages, mash and peas; steak and ale pie; rack of ribs, fries and home-made coleslaw; and nachos and chilli.
