Assuming this Tudor pub's interior designers had a free hand when it was last refurbished, they certainly made the most of it. Wherever you look – the bar, the restaurant, the rooms, the beer garden – the results are impressive. The pub doubles as the home of the Bootleg Brewery, run by an all-too-rare female head brewer. The brewery is open to the public on occasions such as their Oktoberfest. Home-made gourmet pies; Lancashire lamb hotpot; seafood platter; hanging kebabs; and burger boards all feature on a comprehensive menu.
