Turn off the ever hectic M25 and within just five minutes you could be enjoying the tranquillity of this 14th-century inn. The low timber beams and inglenook in the bar offer plenty of original character, and Adnams, Sharp’s Doom Bar, and Westerham (when possible) are on tap to quench your thirst. Just about everything is home cooked and typical dishes include belly of pork, black pudding with cider jus; and Thai-spiced salmon on noodles and stir-fry vegetables. On sunny days, take a table in the large garden and admire the views.
