Cotswold character and cuisine with a twist

At a glance

Open all year
Kids play area

The beautiful, honey-coloured Cotswold stone glowing beside Chipping Campden’s main street continues within; the convivial, log-fire warmed stone floored bar a welcoming retreat for guests hunting through the town’s antique shops or pausing on a stroll along the Cotswold Way footpath. Once a recruiting centre for volunteer militia, today’s clients sign on for some very interesting dishes from the Maharaja Restaurant located here. As well as traditional dishes like dhansak, bhuna, jalfrezi and so on, there are less well known options like nowabi lamb, jalil hash, begun bhari and moglai chicken. The grassy beer garden is a quiet town centre retreat.
