Dating back to 1827, the inn oozes historic charm and character with its original beams and roaring log fires aplenty. The seasonal menus combine traditional pub classics, including fish and chips, with modern ideas, perhaps gilthead bream on chorizo, saffron and sun-blushed tomato risotto; venison burger, pancetta, toasted brioche bun with chips and onion rings; or pumpkin tortellini with walnut and rosemary burnt butter sauce.
