Pint of beer on a bar

The Prince of Wales

A friendly, traditional village inn with cosy log fires, offering up to six real ales from local breweries (Bishop Nick Ridley’s Rite, maybe, or Heresy), and serving home-cooked pub grub all day. The Sunday roasts are popular. There’s a great garden for summer days, when the hanging baskets are overflowing with flowers, and the meal deal (Tuesday-Friday, 12-4) is a real bargain. Otherwise the menu features all the pub food classics, from home-cooked ham, egg and chips; gammon steak with egg or pineapple; pie of the day; cod, chips and peas; lasagne; and a cracking all-day breakfast.
