This part-thatched 14th-century pub stands in the pretty village of Stokenham and was previously a brewhouse and cottages. One mile from stunning Slapton Sands, tables in the garden overlook the village green and church, with a log-burning fire warming the beamed bar where local ales such as Otter keep the drinkers happy. Bar meals and sandwiches are supplemented by a full menu that includes prawn cocktail and steak and ale pie.
