This former drovers’ pub is in the hands of the capable Reynolds family who welcome everyone including families and visitors with dogs. Surrounded by gorgeous countryside, and with a large garden in which to sup a pint of Dartmoor Jail Ale, it's on the edge of Dartmoor National Park. Renowned for their pies, chips and specials board, they also offer light snacks at lunchtime, and a great children’s menu. Sample specials include pork belly with vanilla mashed potatoes, spinach and caramelised apple jus; and braised lamb shoulder with colcannon and black trumpet mushrooms. Change of hands.
