A short walk from the coastal path at Ayrmer Cove, this 13th-century village inn was built by monks and the original fires are still lit during the winter months. There are five different areas for drinkers and diners, plus a large beer garden.

Getting here

From Exeter take A38 towards Plymouth. Left onto A3121 signed Modbury. Left onto A379 signed Modbury. From Modbury High Street follow Ringmore and St Anne's Chapel signs. In St Anne's Chapel at Old Chapel Inn (on right) turn right signed Ringmore. Inn's car park opposite church on left. Walk 200 yards downhill to pub.
