Named after the old packhorse bridge over the River Derwent, this early 19th-century free house is only a short distance away from the Ladybower Reservoir. Views from the bars take in the peak of Whin Hill, making it a jolly good spot for enjoying a pint and good-quality pub food made with fresh local produce. Sandwiches are all freshly prepared, along with soup of the day. A beer and cider festival is held in mid-May.
