In new hands since June 2015, this 300-year-old pub, just ten minutes from the M1, is an ideal stop when exploring the Peak District and Sherwood Forest. Peak Ales’ Bakewell Best Bitter is one of the local beers available in the bar, with its open log fires. The kitchen sources ingredients locally where possible, including the 30-day aged steaks cooked on the grill. The modern tapas menu offers plenty of choices whether you are sharing them or ordering them as a starter. Kick off with patatas bravas before charred chicken breast, tagliatelle, herb and tomato sauce.
