An atmospheric, charmingly decorated pub with a stunning location overlooking the Winster Valley and beyond, The Masons Arms has an atmospheric interior with low, beamed ceilings, old fireplaces and quirky furniture. Waiting staff manoeuvre through the busy bar, dining rooms and heated, covered terraces carrying popular dishes such as warm pitta bread and home-made houmous to nibble; Masons Arms ribs with sticky sauce and fries; or Cullen skink to start; followed by smoked haddock, scampi and lemon fishcakes; or braised belly pork with sage jus. If there's room, try some apple and blackberry crumble, jam roly poly or honeycomb cheesecake. Wash it down with a pint of Marston's Wainwright.
