An ale drinkers’ heaven with microbrewery

Looking just like other shop fronts in the street, the door of Number Twenty 2 opens to reveal a classic Victorian pub. Multiple awards recognise that real ales are the name of the game here – up to 13 being pulled at busy times; expect to find Bull Premium and White Boar among them. Even more interesting perhaps is the ouput from the onsite microbrewery and nano-distillery. Add to all this, nine continental beers, wines chosen for easy quaffing, and a select list of fine spirits and you have a drinker’s paradise. Whether by popular demand or applied common sense, a seating area known as ‘the canteen’ is where light bites, soups, gourmet burgers and toasted sandwiches are served from midday until 7pm.
