The New Inn

Traditional home cooking and good ales

At a glance

Bar menu
Dog friendly

This unspoiled pub started life as a pair of cottages in the 16th century. In the centre of a pretty village on the Roseland Peninsula, The New Inn has open fires, a beamed ceiling, a single bar serving St Austell ales and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Sunday lunch is a speciality but other choices during the week might include steak and St Austell ale pie; mushroom Stroganoff; Cornish ham with free range eggs and fries; or creamy tarragon chicken with fresh veg and new potatoes. Traditional puddings take in warm chocolate fudge cake; zingy lemon cheesecake; and sticky toffee pudding – some served with Cornish clotted cream.
