Popular inn with barn restaurant

Set well back from the main road in the hamlet of Eaton, this 400-year-old Cheshire-brick inn is a far cry from its genesis as a farmhouse. A popular destination dining pub, the restaurant is housed in a remarkable cruck barn moved here from Wales. Choose your refreshment, a pint of Bombardier perhaps, before perusing the monthly changing menu. Here you might find paella croquettes or lamb and mint koftas to start, followed by lamb shank and root vegetable pie; balti-spiced chicken; falafel burger and a ‘Porky Plate’ – belly, loin, black pudding, rib and crackling.
