An arresting inn which dominates the compact square at the heart of bustling Tregaron, Y Talbot is surrounded by a web of footpaths and drovers' roads. This idyllic location also guarantees first class provender from local farms, lakes and the Afon Teifi which flows through the town at the fringe of the Cambrian Mountains. Enjoy dishes such as slow-cooked Tregaron ox cheek bourguignon with smoked mash; or Cardigan Bay lemon sole, spinach, new potatoes and sauce Americaine from the contemporary Welsh menu. Ales are usually from local breweries, augmented by an early October beer and cider festival.
