A village pub since the 1800s, this traditional Welsh longhouse is only a short walk from Cwm Tydu beach and National Trust-owned cliffs. The award-winning garden is a delight, while inside are original beams, fireplaces and a pretty restaurant. Mains here include beef or three-cheese vegetarian lasagne; fillet of breaded or battered cod and chips; Thai-spiced fillet of salmon; and beetroot and butternut squash cupcake pie. There’s a carvery every Sunday. Blackboard specials, a children’s menu, light snacks and bar food are also available. Buckleys, Cottage, Evan Evans, Sharp's and guest breweries do the honours in the bar. Please note, opening times depend on the season.
