A 16th-century free house with excellent Thai food
At a glance
A rashly shouted 'Oi!' here might well bring the chef running out from his kitchen, for that's his name. The highly experienced Oi is from Thailand and his huge range of traditional Thai food embraces starters and soups; beef, chicken, duck, pork and prawn stir-fries; classic green, red, yellow, Massaman, Penang and jungle curries; fish dishes, such as sea bass in chilli sauce; pad Thai and other noodle dishes; and vegetables and rice cooked different ways. Among the 200 beers, many from local breweries, available in the bar is Austrian Stiegl lager on tap.
