At a glance

Bar menu
Open all year

Named after the English poet who once lived at the Old Vicarage in the pretty village of Grantchester, this is a stylish pub. Located alongside the River Cam, it is just a couple of miles from the centre of Cambridge, which can be accessed via the river path, although some customers are known to arrive by punt. A range of ales including Woodforde's Wherry are dispensed from the bar, which also offers a dozen wines by the glass to accompany enjoyable dishes like wild mushroom and truffle macaroni; and braised collar of ham with duck egg and chips.
