Located in the centre of the village, overlooking the green, this pub was saved from closure by villagers in the 1990s. They ran it as a co-operative until 2003, when it was bought by Frank Feehan, who further refurbished and extended it. Frank's additions included the Devil's Dyke microbrewery, which continues to be run by owners Catherine and George Gibson. The pub has a strong local following for its food and beers. The menu is seasonal with daily-changing specials, although pub favourites like local sausage, mash and onion gravy; and rib-eye steaks and skinny cut chips are always popular.
