The largest floating real ale emporium in Britain can be found moored in the heart of Peterborough. The 176-foot converted barge motored from Holland across the North Sea in 1991, and is now a haven for real-ale and cider-lovers. Twelve handpumps dispense a continually changing repertoire of cask ales, craft and foreign beers, while entertainment, dancing, live music and an Easter beer festival are regular features. A burger menu is available in the downstairs bar. The 'East' part of the name applies to the oriental restaurant on the upper deck which offers a comprehensive selection of pan-Asian dishes.
