This charming 16th-century pub with a large garden is only a few minutes’ walk from the Thames Path. The open-plan interior features original beams and log fires. A great selection of ales awaits visitors to The Kings Head, including those from the Rebellion Brewery in Marlow. As well as sandwiches, baguettes, paninis and jacket potatoes, the food includes substantial salads, steaks, grilled salmon, chilli con carne, wholetail scampi and aubergine cannelloni. Tell staff you’ve parked the car, go for a walk and return for a meal.
