This 500-year-old, Grade II listed pub is surrounded by some of Bedfordshire’s prettiest countryside and is close to Dunstable, Dunstable Downs, Whipsnade Zoo and Hemel Hempstead. The welcoming interior is full of beams and stacked logs ready for a winter fire. In summer, grab a table in the large garden and enjoy the panoramic views. From the menu expect sharing boards, home-made pies, roasts with all the trimmings, beer battered cod and triple cooked chips and even '99' ice creams. Authentic pizzas are cooked on the stone clay oven. All around the pub you’ll find gifts to buy – pictures, clocks and candles to mention but a few.
