Established for over 30 years, the inn stands in a picturesque fishing village overlooking the natural harbour of Tayvallich Bay at the head of Loch Sween. There are unrivalled views, particularly from the outside area of decking, where food and a great selection of real ales can be enjoyed. Not surprisingly given the location, fresh seafood features strongly – the catch is landed from the boats right outside the front door. Lobster, crab and langoustine are available in the summer, while typical dishes in winter might be fragrant oven-baked salmon fillet with prawn and caper sauce or line-caught Tarbert haddock in batter with chips.
