Located within minutes of Tralee town, Ballyseede Castle is steeped in history dating back to 1590 and has been fought over, lived in and lovingly restored to a high standard which still pays homage to its ancient grandeur. The spacious bedrooms are elegantly decorated; some have four-poster beds and antique furnishings. There are gracious reception rooms with original ornamental cornices and marble fireplaces, a carved oak library, a cosy bar and a splendid banqueting hall. The castle stands in its own grounds at the end of a winding drive through formal gardens and natural woodland. All-day dining is available in the atmospheric Pappy's Bar, with more formal evening dining in the award-winning O'Connell Room. The Castle is noted for the quality of its wedding celebrations and other family events.
