Volkswagen Golf is a diesel with a sporty tone

The tone created by the latest Volkswagen Golf is something that is distinctly uncommon with a diesel engine, it has been revealed.

Volkswagen has stated that a sporty sound is not something that is familiar with a diesel engine, but the Golf GTD offers something different through its new common rail engine.

The manufacturer highlights that a "hammering" sound is often associated with previous diesel engines, but with the new Golf, the acoustics have been fine-tuned.

Furthermore, it is noted that a "sonorous tone" is made through the developments, which also includes a special sound generator.

Other areas in which the sports theme of the vehicle can be witnessed are in both the exterior and interior.

The exterior indicates a sporty car through its bumper, radiator grille and headlights, while on the inside a leather steering wheel and high-end sports seats are features.

Buyers of the Volkswagen Polo S can have the added benefits of a driver’s knee airbag, air conditioning and body-coloured door handles.
