A reviewer has explained that the Vauxhall Corsa’s ability to hold on to its value was one of the main factors that has helped it to win a prize for being the UK’s Favourite Supermini.
This ability will have an impact on its popularity in the used Vauxhall market.
RoadTestReports.co.uk handed out the prize after the car polled 35 per cent of the vote on its website.
The result was perhaps not so surprising given the fact that, according to the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders, the Corsa was the top-selling supermini in the UK during 2008.
The all-new Ford Fiesta seems to be coming through on the rails, considering that it was the best-selling supermini in December, though it could only manage third place in the Favourite Supermini vote.
In second place was the Honda Jazz, which garnered 19 per cent of the vote.
RoadTestReport’s Faye Sunderland said: "It bodes well for Vauxhall, Honda and Ford to see that people don’t just buy these cars, but once they have them on the drive, that they are satisfied with their purchase."
