A wider range of motorists could be drawn into buying the latest version of the Vauxhall Astra, it is hoped.
Andy Gilson, marketing director at Vauxhall, has stated that the range of changes made to the latest Astra could help to appeal to a larger number of motorists.
Among these developments are changes to the bodywork, which includes an all-new chassis to improve passenger comfort and a new rear axle design to boost both stability and agility.
Mr Gilson said: "Not only is the Astra a crucial new model for Vauxhall, but we’re confident that its blend of dynamic design, new-to-class technology and immense driver appeal will attract an even broader spectrum of buyers in this sector."
He added that Vauxhall will be leading with the five-door version as this in the past has achieved the greatest sales, with the latest offering the sixth generation of the Astra in the past 30 years.
The colour options open to motorists choosing to buy a Vauxhall Astra include Technical Grey, Green Spirit and Panaconna.
