Reliability the key for engine manufacturers

Most company cars are bought by transport managers based on cost, styling and size of fleet, but when an engine manufacturer and importer chooses vehicles, then they really do not want their company representatives stranded at the side of the road and missing appointments due to engine problems.

E P Barrus limited has signed a deal with Toyota to replace their previous suppliers and have placed an initial order of 20 Avensis 2.2 D-4D diesel estates T3-S, TR and top-of-the-range T180s as well as the Toyota Verso.

"Barrus chose Toyota for its reliability and the reduced cost of servicing," said company managing director, Robert Glen.

"It’s important to keep the sales force on the road and not in the garage! All drivers are very happy with the vehicles."

In the UK J D Power and What Car 2008 survey results the Toyota Prius was named the highest ranking vehicle for customer satisfaction scoring 901 points out of a possible 1,000.
