New entry-level Twingo promises to ‘undercut rivals’ prices’

A new entry-level Renault Twingo model is on sale now – a car which its maker promises is a lot cheaper than many of its rivals’ entry-level vehicles.

Used Renault dealers will look forward to selling the new version of the car as it still has standard features such as remote control central-locking and electric windows.

There’s also tinted glass, a 2 x 15W radio single CD with fingertip remote control and a steering wheel that is height-adjustable.

Priced at just £6,995 on the road, it is cheaper than the entry-level Fiat 500 by over £1,100 and the Ford Ka by over £830; which should make it an attractive proposition when it comes on the used-car market.

There will be a wide choice of colours to select from with names that sound like they should be competing on the Gladiators TV show. These include Mercury, Pearl Black, Tempest and Blaze.

Boy racers will be relieved about the range of options available to personalise your Twingo. White or black racing stripes (£98) or chequered flag door graphics (£98) can make the car look like a real Twingo Star.
